The Product Validation team is part of the R&D department at Atlas Antibodies and performs validation on products and intermediates to ensure that they maintain high and consistent quality from preparation stage to finished product. We also manufacture and quality control our own in-house materials such as tissue microarrays for immunohistochemistry. We are now looking for a Laboratory engineer with validation and IHC focus. The Role In the lab-based role of Laboratory engineer within the Product Validation team, you will be part of a team consisting of 6 other colleagues where you will focus on validation of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies using immunohistochemistry (IHC). In this position, you will develop an intercompany network that is necessary for the successful delivery of IHC data to the organization. You will also contribute to customer investigations, projects, and method development. The tasks include carrying out lab work, analysis at the microscope, documenting results in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established routines. Your profile To succeed in this role, we believe that you are goal-oriented, curious and have a high level of problem-solving skills. You also have good communication skills, in English and preferably also in Swedish. You enjoy laboratory work, and you take responsibility of contributing and building an effective team at the lab. In addition, you need the following qualifications: • Master’s degree in cell biology, biotechnology, or other related discipline. • Hands-on experience of immunohistochemical staining • Practical experience of histology, preferably of different types of tissues • Microscopy and parameterized analysis of IHC-stained tissue It is positive if you have experience of tissue embedding and antibody validation. If you have previously worked according to ISO or GMP, written and followed SOPs, and worked in LIMS/ERP-systems it is also a meriting factor.
