Safety Engineer for Volvo Autonomous Solutions

There is now an opportunity for you to be part in the development of autonomous transport solutions. We are looking for a new colleague to join our Safety Team for the position as Safety Engineer. What will you be doing? Your mission will be to contribute as a Safety Engineer with good understanding in developing Safe products. You will be responsible to specify and review technical concepts and solutions and ensure that the safety requirements are fulfilled for our autonomous products. The product flora contains both road vehicles and machines. You will need to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and connect cross-functional teams in the development of our operational strategies. This requires you to inspire trust and confidence in your way of working with colleagues and management Who are you? As our business area is new you need to share our curiosity for new technology, tools, and way of working and want to take it to the next level Qualifications: University degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Mechatronics or equivalent Several years of experience working with either machines or road vehicles within the Safety area Knowledge of safety engineering processes (Hazard and Operability Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis etc.) Knowledge in development according to safety Standards such as ISO12100, ISO13849, ISO17757, ISO26262, SOTIF or equivalent Documentation experience and good documentation skills Fluent in English, written and spoken We are actively working to establish teams that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent to differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender, and nationality, among others.
